"A rising star of Soul and Funk Music" - Cheltenham Jazz Festival.
"Proudly carrying the spirit of James Brown and Tower of Power" - SoulTracks.com

Ashton Jones is an accomplished and in-demand Soul & Funk performer, recording artist and producer. Hailing from Ipswich, Suffolk, he has gained a reputation as one of the most dynamic and exciting artists in the country. He received support from BBC Radio 2, Craig Charles, and BBC 6 Music, and his band 'The Ashton Jones Project', has become known for their energetic and vibrant live shows. Inspired by legendary musicians such as James Brown, Stevie Wonder, Earth Wind & Fire, Rick James, and Prince, Ashton delivers performances filled with soulful melodies, gritty funk and touches of falsetto that always leave his audiences captivated. His unique style and stage presence have earned him praise from critics and fans alike, with SoulTracks. com noting that "Jones' star quality and showmanship shine through" and London Jazz News describing his live show as "one of the rowdiest, sweatiest and most exuberant sold-out nights this place has seen".

Following the success of his self-titled debut EP, The Ashton Jones Project released their highly anticipated first album, Toast, described by Vanguard Magazine as "if Earth Wind & Fire and Stevie Wonder worked together and got Prince in for a guest-spot" The album was added to Spotify Editorial Playlist 'All Funked Up' accumulating over one million worldwide streams to date. Craig Charles called the release "phenomenal".

In addition to a string of sold-out shows in the UK, including four consecutive sold-out dates at Londons legendary Ronnie Scotts Jazz Club, Ashton has performed with Grammy award-winning American soul group Shalamar, UK Jazz-Funk giants Incognito, and The BBC Concert Orchestra for their 2021 sold-out live show in Malta. He has also appeared at world-renowned venues, festivals and on TV shows around the globe, including the Riviera Maya Jazz Festival, The London Palladium, Dancing With The Stars, The Jazz Cafe and Cheltenham Jazz Festival, where he returns in 2023 to share the stage with Gregory Porter and Beverley Knight for the inaugural Soul Jazz Summit, featuring the BBC Concert Orchestra and Guy Barker's Big Band.

In 2022 Jones conceptualised Funk Soul Orchestral: James Brown vs Prince and approached long-time friend and collaborator Harry Greene to co-found the project as arranger. The show debut was a resounding success, opening to a double sell-out audience at Ronnie Scotts in October 2022 and receiving a 5- star review from Close-Up Culture Magazine, "Led with a mix of panache, never ending energy and passion by frontman Ashton Jones and astutely marshalled by guitarist Harry Greene, this almighty collection of gifted musicians had the sell-out audience off their feet well before the end". Ashton Jones is not only a talented live performer, but he is also in high demand as a recording artist. In addition to his work with The Ashton Jones Project, he has featured in Amazon's global ad campaign, singing Freddie Scott's classic 'You Got What I Need' His vocal range, stage presence and unique blend of soul, funk and charisma have made him a respected and sought-after performer in the UK and beyond.
